During 1968, the acoustic guitar claim-to-fame was figuring out McCartney's "Blackbird." At that time Piglitz was into folk artists like John Fahey, and heard about this incredible album with an armadillo on the cover. After just one listen he became a fingerstyle/Leo Kottke/acoustic guitar animal which is why we made him a Tab Pig. Piglitz is from Miami, Cuba and works for the Miami Herald drawing cartoons for a living. Other than guitar playing, his interests include painting, hockey, and being a pain in the ass.

Piglitz got his handle from his Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoon work. Another name the pen has taken pride in creating. Mostly though, we just call him PL since it's too hard to find the Z key. Piglitz has yet to find his way to a WAB. It's been one excuse after another, yadda, yadda, yadda. As a result, his handle has morphed into "PLWW" for "Piglitz Weekend Wus". And we'll leave it at that.

    Piglitz plays the following guitars:
  • 1971 Gibson SJN
  • 1990 Taylor 755 12-string (less than 100 made, model not listed in Taylor's catalogue)
  • 1995 Olson SJ (the sound lives up to the hype with dull strings, surpasses hype with new strings)
